Tour Itinerary:

Day # 1 - Fly into Norfolk before 5:00 pm, then motorcoach to Virginia Beach and check into your ocean-front hotel for the first of five ngihts.

Day # 2 – Enjoy a free morning followed by a scenic harbor cruise.  Tonight, gather with fellow travelers for a Get-Acquainted Dinner.  (B,D)

Day # 3 – This morning we’ll take a tour of Nauticus, a museum which explores the naval economic and nautical power of the sea, and home of the Battleship Wisconsin.  Next, tour NAS Norfolk, the world’s largest Naval Station, supporting 75 ships and 134 aicraft.  This afternoon we’ll visit the tomb of General Douglas MacArthur, one of the most colorful and controversial men in American hsitory.  Tonight, it’s a “Virginia is for Lovers” dinner including a live musical tribute to the Jersey Boys:  Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  (B,D)

Day # 4 – Start today with a visit to nearby Jamestown Festival Park, an authentic recreation of the first permanent English Settlement in the New World.  Tour the recreated Powhatan Indian Village, the colonists’ first palisaded fort, and replicas of the three ships – Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery – that transported 104 men under Captain John Smith to Jamestown.  Next, we’ll move on to Yorktown, site of a pivotal battle in the Revolutionary War for Independence.  Tonight, enjoy a candelight seafood buffet in the ballroom of our hotel.  As dinner concludes the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra takes the stage with “The Sinatra Legacy”, a special tribute to the music of Frank Sinatra.

Day # 5 -  Historic  Williamsburg was the social, political and cultural center of the Virginia Colony for 81 years prior to the Revolutionary War.  We’ll take a guided walking tour of the restored houses and craft shops on Gloucester Street and mingle with the many historic reenactors who bring history a to life.  Later today, we’ll experience more recent history:  more than 65 WWI and WWII military aircraft.  Then take your seats for an exciting historic airshow, ”Swingtime in the Skies”, followed by a Southern Style Cookout.  King Neptune’s USO Show is up next, an evening of comedy with Bob Hope, the harmony of the Andrews Sisters, and a 14-piece Glen Miller Orchestra that is a tribute to the greatest military band of all time.  (B,D)

Day # 6 - Before departing our SpecTAPular Event, will enjoy a tour of the Chesapeake’s Bay Eastern Shore before departing for the airport.  Departures from Norfolk after 3:00 pm.
