Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 – Airport transfers included.  Dinner cruise on beautiful Lake Tahoe.   Overnight: Minden (D)

Day 2 – Today’s ghostly activities include a horse-drawn tour of historic Carson City neighborhoods, a guided walking tour of the “Kit Carson Trail” and visits to various historic homes hosted by “spirits of the past”. Visit the Nevada State Railroad Museum.  Dusk cemetery tour. Overnight: Minden.(B, D)

Day 3 – Explore Virginia City, home of the Comstock Lode and Mark Twain,  Ride historic steam train to nearby Gold Hill. Overnight: Minden. (B)

Day 4 – Visit Nevada’s oldest town, Genoa (1851) and the state’s oldest saloon!  Tour Yerington’s museum of pioneer history.  Visit the gravesite of Paiute holy man Wovoka.  Overnight: Hawthorne. (B, D)

Day 5 – Ranger-led tour of Berlin, the 1895 silver boom town, maintained in a state of “arrested decay”.   Belmont is one of Nevada’s oldest and largest living ghost towns where picturesque ruins mingle with inhabited homes and one business: the saloon.  Overnight: Tonopah. (B, D)

Day 6 –  Tour the ghost towns of Goldfield  and Beatty with local experts.   Perhaps the most photogenic of Nevada’s many ghost towns, Rhyolite was the sixth largest city in the state just six short years after its founding in 1904.   View the famous “bottle house” – crafted from 50,000 beer and whiskey bottles.  Overnight: Armagosa Springs. Day 7 – Our ghostly adventure draws to a close with a visit to Nevada’s only winery, situated in the scenic Pahrump Valley northwest of Las Vegas.  Afternoon departures from MacCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. (B,L)
